Facing Our Doubts
Series: Facing Life's StormsThe first lesson in David Banning's series on "Facing Life's Storms", from John 20:19-31.
It's okay to have doubts; we just need to find the proper way to address them. When doubt arise, consider these points:
- Our attitude (including when someone comes to us with doubts...)
- Processing (handling) doubts
- They don't get better if left alone
- Don't jump to a conclusion
- Fairly examine the evidence
- Our responsibility to make a decision based on what we find
- There's danger in seeking questions vs. seeking answers (which comes back to our attitude)
- The implications of what we find. If Jesus is the Son of God, what does that mean for us?
