Who Is in Your Circle?

Who Is in Your Circle?

It has been said we are “the average” of the five people we spend the most time with. Who are those five people in your life? Are they lifting you higher? Pushing you to grow?  Encouraging you to become the best you can be?

Imagine yourself being part of a tight-knit fellowship of believers. A people who are committed to growing up in Christ. Those who are committed to caring for others and reaching the lost.
Think about it this way. If all your friends hit the gym every day and looked like elite athletes, don’t you think you would start pushing yourself too? It’s the same principle-- surround yourself with others who are successful believers, leaders, and workers. Start pushing yourself to be like them and you will naturally rise to their level.

For me, that is surrounding myself with men who are successful communicators, bible students, and teachers. Men who are skilled at persuasion. It’s finding those who work well with people. They may not even be part of the fellowship I am part of, but they know something about people and how to treat them. Further, it may be finding those who are faithful mates, men and women, from whom I can learn and improve as a mate. It may be watching those who are good parents who are instilling godly values and principles in their children. I want to be like that too.

They may not be my age.  They may be younger or older than I am. Some of those in that circle are different ages and I want to be like them too.

So, who are the five people in your circle that motivate and influence you?
